Gorgeous find I've held onto for a bit! From my own research in digging, I believe this is a Sankyo music box made roughly between 1950-1970. The music box still works and with a little work you could reattach the dancing figurines. There are two layers to this box and a lock and key. Very pretty and elegant gift for any lover of unusual antiques. If you love it, make me an offer!
